The Lazarus ReCover is a next-generation ischemic stroke device that moves beyond the gold-standard of today’s stent based retrievers. The ReCover incorporates a Cover segment that automatically covers and protects the thrombus as the device is removed, helping to prevent clot embolization and secondary stroke which commonly occur during current thrombectomy procedures.
How the ReCover™ works:
STEP 1: The stent is deployed into the thrombus. The microcatheter is then withdrawn to deploy the Cover component
STEP 2: The ReCover is pulled proximally, causing the thrombus to be pulled inside the Cover.
STEP 3: The thrombus is completely inside the Cover, where it is protected from fragmentation and embolization.
